Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
By Our Staff Reporter
Speaking to reporters today, the official spokesmen -- S.V. Seshagiri Rao and K. Laxman -- said a committee to draft the party manifesto would be constituted soon. Referring to the ongoing Jana chaitanya sadassus on the theme, `Neeti kosam-bhoomi kosam,' they said the programme has been evoking a good response and added that meetings had been completed in 14 Assembly constituencies by Monday. Mr. Laxman wondered whether the demand of the Congress for imposition of President's rule in the State was borne out of the party's inability to face elections or lack of awareness about Constitutional provisions.
