GOC visits Pangode military station

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Nov. 17. Maj. Gen. Paramjit Singh, who recently took over as General Officer Commanding (GOC), Southern States and Goa Area, today visited the Pangode Military Station in the city. This was his first visit after assuming the new office.

The GOC held discussions with Brig. Ranjit Prasad, Station Commander, and other senior officers of the station.

He will call on the Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, tomorrow.

The earlier appointments held by him include Brigadier, General Staff (Operations) at the Headquarters of the Southern Command, Brigade Major of an Infantry Brigade and Instructor at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. He also had two tenures at the Defence Services Staff College, Wellingdon.

A recipient of the Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM), Maj. Gen. Singh, has commanded a brigade in the `Valley' as also the 2 Garh Rifles battalion.
