Higher education

Sir, — K.N. Panikkar in his article, "Higher education: perilous prospects" (Nov. 17) has rightly pointed out that the quality of our higher education system is poor. If the authorities do not take remedial steps, the future of higher education will be in the hands of foreign universities.
