Gulf jobs: CM writes to PM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM NOV. 18. The Chief Minister, A. K. Antony, has written to the Prime Minister, A. B. Vajpayee, calling for a single window system in Kerala for attestation of qualifying certificates of Keralites seeking jobs in the Gulf Countries.

The Chief Minister also called for the withdrawal of the stipulation that job seekers should pay money for the return ticket in advance.

Besides, he urged the Prime Minister to allow setting of consulates of Gulf countries in Kerala.

The Chief Minister, who had personally taken up the issues with the Prime Minister earlier this month, said in his letter that attestation facility was now available only in Delhi.
