New Zealand women's team arrives

MUMBAI Nov. 19. The `White Ferns' are here. The New Zealand women's cricket team flew into India for a series featuring a Test and five one-dayers. Captained by Wellington's Maia Lewis and coached by Mike Shrimpton, the squad will be preparing at Pune's Cadence Academy ground before returning to Mumbai on November 21 for a tour game at MIG ground, Bandra.

The itinerary: Nov 23-24: Warm-up match at MIG; Nov 27-30: Test at Vapi; Dec 2: warm-up match at Mumbai; Dec 4: 1st one-dayer vs India at Brabourne stadium; Dec 7: 2nd ODI at Aurangabad; Dec 10: 3rd ODI at Bangalore; Dec 13: 4th ODI at Hyderabad; Dec 16: 5th ODI at Chennai.

The team: Maia Lewis (captain), Haidee Tiffen (vice-captain), Nicola Browne, Anna Corbin, Maria Fahey, Amanda Green, Michelle Lynch, Sara McGlashan, Katey Martin, Aimee Mason, Louise Milliken, Kate Pulford, Natalee Scripps, Rebecca Steele. Coach: Mike Shrimpton.
