Ms. Ranjana Kumar moved into Indian Bank at a critical time and was largely credited with turning it around. As she steps into Nabard, she faces yet another challenge in her professional life. Nabard is reportedly facing a peculiar problem. It is finding it tough to park funds with many banks not taking the refinance route these days. She may have to reinvent a role for Nabard in the fast-changing environment. M. B. N. Rao, now Executive Director of Indian Bank, will hold charge of the bank in the interim. A formal order to elevate him to the CMD slot is expected any time.
