TDP leaders decry KCR's 'personalised' criticism

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD Nov. 22. The TDP leaders from Mahabubnagar have expressed ire against the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president, K. Chandrasekhara Rao, for his `personalised' criticism against some of the Ministers during his public meetings at Sangareddy and Mahabubnagar in the last few days.

The Panchayatraj Minister, N. Janardhan Reddy, the Rajya Sabha member, R. Chandrasekhara Reddy, Kalwakurthy MLA, G. Jaipal Yadav, and Mahbubnagar TDP president, P. Manohar, said at a news conference here on Saturday that Mr. Rao's meeting in the district headquarters town on Friday was an utter flop. He misled public by giving a big name like `garjana' for the meetings.

Referring to Mr. Rao's demand at the Mahabubnagar meeting that the height of Alamatti dam be increased, they said it was impractical and hit the interests of the State. Everybody knows what will be the fate of the State with the denial of river water owing to the increase in dam height. They also questioned Mr. Rao's demand for sale of Nizam's ornaments and said it was unthinkable as they symbolised the rich heritage of the State.

They also said Mr. Rao's call to people to revolt against the Government for raising the naxalite issue amounted to supporting the extremists. The Congress was also hand in glove with the naxalites as seen from the arrest of a party worker, they added.
