The meeting lasted for half-an-hour. Mr. Kunhalikutty told The Hindu that the discussion was part of a continuing process his party had initiated to solve the crisis in the Congress and the UDF. According to sources, Mr. Kunhalikutty is understood of have cautioned Mr. Karunakaran against pushing matters over the cliff and asked him to wait till the high command initiates discussions by December 1. Mr. Karunakaran is understood to have informed the Minister his faction's resolve to stick to its current programme.
