Saratchandran here today. The accused were identified as Santosh Kumar and Asokan. The prosecution case was that the accussed were arrested by the police while trying to pass off fake Rs 10 notes as original ones at a toddy shop on October 22, 1990. Held for theft: The Fort police have arrested a 19-year-old youth in connection with some recent thefts of car stereos and domestic electronic appliances in the city. Police identified the accused as Muthukumaran, a resident of Ambasamudram taluk in Thirunelveli district. The accused was remanded to 14 days in judicial custody. Ganja seized: The Vizhinjam police today recovered 42 grams of ganja from Rajendran (35) of Peechottukonam. He was remanded to judicial custody.
