Letters to the Editor
Sir, While I fully agree with P. Chidambaram that the Tamil Nadu Government should adopt the "forgive and forget" approach towards the 587 Government employees and reinstate them, all the political parties should also resolve not to support unwarranted strikes in future. It is the political parties that whip up feelings while in the Opposition. And when things go wrong, as they did during the recent strike, the employees become nobody's baby and they are left to wage a lone legal battle, which may go on for years.
