Water supply disrupted at Pampa

PATHANAMTHITTA Nov 24. An alleged `cold war' between the Irrigation Department and the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has led to disruption of water supply at the Devaswom Maramath Complex at Pampa that houses over a dozen seasonal Government offices.

The veterinary doctor, D.Shine Kumar, has said that the Duty Magistrate at Pampa, R.Viswanathan Nair, was apprised of the hardships faced by the office staff housed at the Maramath Complex owing to the disruption of water supply to the building five days ago. A written complaint too was filed before the Duty Magistrate, later on Friday, Dr Shine said. However, the Duty Magistrate is yet to take any effective measures to provide uninterrupted water supply to the Maramath Complex.
