Re-exam: decision tomorrow

By Our Special Correspondent

AHMEDABAD NOV. 24. A meeting of the directors of all the six Indian Institutes of Management will be held at IIM, Ahmedabad, on Wednesday to take a decision on re-scheduling the Common Admission Test (CAT).

A meeting of the admission committee would be held here tomorrow to review the situation arising out of the leakage of question papers and cancellation of CAT on Sunday.

Bakul Dholakia, Director, IIM, Ahmedabad, said the IIMs were keen to conduct the entrance examinations at the earliest to complete the process in time to start the next academic year as per schedule in July next, as it involved the future of some 1.20 lakh students who prepared for the CAT. Dr. Dholakia had on Sunday indicated that the examinations were likely to be re-scheduled towards the end of January. However, he said today that a final decision was expected at the meeting on Wednesday.
