Governor, CM greet Muslims

HYDERABAD Nov. 25. The Governor, Surjit Singh Barnala, has extended cordial greetings and good wishes to Muslims on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr on Thursday.

In a message, he said the austerities and the discipline practised by the devout in the holy month of Ramzan reaffirmed faith and strengthened the subtle bond of relationship between the divine and the mortal. " Id-ul-Fitr, as the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan, is an opportunity not only for the renewal of faith but also the emotions of humanism, universal brotherhood, trust, tolerance and belief. On this pious occasion let us join to fulfil man's divine mission in society," he added.

The Chief Minister, N.Chandrababu Naidu, greeted Muslims on the eve of the occasion.

In a message, he said Ramzan festival brought the message of peace, happiness, discipline, brotherhood and communal harmony. He wished the people in general and Muslims in particular a "happy Id-ul-Fitr" and peace, happiness and prosperity throughout the year.

In another message, the A P Minority Employees Welfare Association, Chairman, Mohd. Raheemuddin and other office-bearers extended their warm greetings to all Muslims and minority employees on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr. They called for celebrating the festival with devotion and integrity in strengthening peace and communal harmony.
