Tirupati boy for national science meet

TIRUPATI Nov. 25. M. Balaji Chethan, studying in ninth standard at Sudhaha little citizens high school here will take part in the 11th National Science Congress-2003 to be conducted by the Department of Science and Technology in Lucknow from December 27 to 31.

He is the only student selected from Chittoor district at the State-level competition held in Warangal recently on the focal theme `Food systems - towards nutrition for all.' Chethan, under the guidance of his teachers -- A.S. Hemalatha and S. Nandana -- had presented a project on `Bio-intensive integrated pest management,' which was adjudged the best project and forwarded to the prestigious national meet. The district coordinator of AP Council of Science and Technology (APCOST), K. Venkateswara Raju, has congratulated the boy on his achievement.
