Dell denies calls shift

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE NOV. 24. U.S. corporate customers' calls for `technical' help with two ranges of products have not been pulled from its Bangalore call centre, said Dell International Services, the subsidiary of Dell Inc., PC direct seller.

On Monday's reports that Dell Inc. would handle technical support calls from the U.S. itself, a spokeswoman for the Indian subsidiary has said that there were no such plans by the parent company.

Dell Inc. was reported to have stopped calls on its Optiplex desktops and Latitude notebooks, following complaints related to `difficulty with accents.'

It was reported that the company would handle such calls from centres in Idaho, Tennessee and Texas where it was headquartered.
