Aircel's prepaid subscriber base doubles

COIMBATORE: Aircel, a cellular service provider in the rest of the Tamil Nadu Circle, has announced that it has crossed active subscriber base of two lakh connections in its prepaid segment `Easy Deal'. According to its Chief Executive Officer and Director, K. V. P. Baskar, the subscriber base has doubled to two lakhs in the prepaid segment in just three months. Aircel's Deepavali offer `Vetri Nichayam' assuring prizes ranging from Tata Indica cars, walkmans to free talktime and the other offers such as free SMS and full talk time on starter packs of both Easy Deal and Teen Talk (youth prepaid card) have made Easy Deal popular. It has released new series, that is, 98420 and 98425 in a bid to give the prepaid subscribers a wide option to choose `easy to remember', lucky, fancy and `special' numbers. — Our Staff Reporter
