Sumantra Ghoshal, Professor of Strategic and International Management, London Business School who delivered the keynote address at the launch of the new FICCI logo seen with A. C. Muthiah, President FICCI in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Unveiling the logo, the FICCI President, A. C. Muthiah, said the new changed logo represented the changing economy and chamber's role therein. "The new logo is a symbol of FICCI unbound, which encompasses the dynamic changes that the Indian economy is currently witnessing... new FICCI insignia to represent a buoyant Indian economy, an economy that is predicted to be the third largest in the world by year 2050,'' Mr. Muthiah said. The FICCI President elect, Y. K. Modi, announced setting up of a taskforce towards outlining a new model of corporate governance. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Sumantra Goshal of London Business School said a new brand was more than a new symbol, which throws up opportunities for creating new significance. He said companies had a larger responsibility than market as companies had to grow, diversify and to globalise to control their destinies and were engines of progress. PTI
