While Vinayak Shetty was unfortunate finishing on the wrong end of a gruelling five-setter against Anshuman Choudhary of Services, A. Parthiban made amends in the next match outliving D. Sisodia which too stretched to the decider. Saurav Ghoshal, the defending under-19 champion, blew away the challenge posed by Services' Vikas Jangra in straight games.
