Sachdev helps Tripura take lead

Agartala Nov. 25 . A magnificent century by Chetan Sachdev (110, 239 balls, 13x4) and a gritty 42 by Arindam Sarkar guided Tripura post a commanding 336 in its first innings on the penultimate day of its Ranji Trophy Plate match against Vidarbha at the Maharaja Birbikram Stadium here on Tuesday.

Tripura, which had been playing Ranji Trophy since 1985, for the first time established a lead in its first innings over the rival.

Vidarbha's Madhusudan Acharya's, who bowled brilliantly, claimed six wickets.

In its second innings, Vidarbha was 52 for two.
