Unbeaten 134 by Pravanjan Mullick

Cuttack Nov. 25 . Orissa took a 231-run first innings lead against Goa on the penultimate day of the four-day Ranji Trophy Plate Group `B' league match played at the Barabati Stadium here on Tuesday.

Resuming at 202 for two, Orissa declared its first innings at 466 for eight in 143 overs. Pravanjan Mullick top scored with an unbeaten 134 not out (14x4, 1x6). Goa, struggling to avoid an innings defeat, was 41 for one in 21 overs. At stumps, Faizal Shaikh (17) and Rohit Rane (10) were at the crease.

Brief scores: Goa 235 & 41 for one in 21 overs vs. Orissa 466 for eight in 143 overs (Pravanjan Mullick 134 not out, B.B.C.C. Mohapatra 83, Subrat Behera 87; Shadeb Jakati five for 99)
