Resuming at 126 for three, Mumbai posted 332 in reply to Uttar Pradesh's 205 at the K.D. Singh Babu Stadium here. At stumps on day three, U.P. was 22 for the loss of Shivkant Shukla in its second innings. After Vinod Kambli was dismissed for 36, Morris helped the visitors extend their innings from 258 for eight with two vital partnerships for the ninth and tenth wickets. Morris' 93 came off 120 balls, and contained 5 sixes and 6 fours. He added 74 for the last two wickets. Praveen Gupta was the most successful bowler for U.P. with four wickets for 79.
