Rs. 15 lakhs ex gratia announced

HYDERABAD NOV. 25. The IDL announced an ex gratia of Rs. 15 lakhs each to the next of the kin of seven deceased employees and Rs. 2 lakhs each to the injured.

Apart from meeting full hospital treatment costs, the Company would also provide jobs to the next of the kin of the victims' families, a press release from the Company said.

An agreement to this effect was reached after two hours of negotiations, the IDL Employees Union president and former Congress Legislature Party leader, P. Janardhan Reddy, claimed.

Meanwhile, the deceased were identified as Sriramulu, Dhanunjay Rao, Ali Khan, Yogeshwar, Kashipathi, Md. Ali and Ramesh. Six of the injured Ravi Kumar, Lalita, Mahmood Ali, B. Yadagiri, Vivekanand and Mallesh were admitted to Remedy Hospital.

Ramesh Babu who was seriously injured was shifted to the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences.
