The Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Bhaskar Rao, who was on his night rounds, stopped at the Hanumanthanagar station around 4 a.m. when he found a Hoysala jeep and a Cheetah motorcycle parked on the premises. Inside the police station, he found members of the Hoysala and Cheetah squads, the Station House Officer (SHO), and a constable sleeping. Those placed under suspension are Channegowda and Jayanna, assistant sub-inspectors of police, Nanjundaiah, head constable and SHO, and Srinivasa, constable. The suspension orders were issued on Monday.
