Unwarranted

Sir, — This refers to the report, `Rendition of invocation song opposed' ( Nov. 25 ). The West Bengal Chief Minister, Buddadeb Bhattacharjee's opposition to Saraswati Vandana is unwarranted.

One wonders what ill will befall Bengal if an invocation to a goddess who symbolises art, culture and knowledge is rendered?
