Digital Video plans unit in Bangalore

NEW DELHI NOV. 26. Duplicating its Shanghai plant in India to make it an export hub, the Nasdaq listed Digital Video Systems Inc. is setting up a plant for consumer electronics, including DVD players and recorders, in Bangalore and has earmarked $25 million investment for this.

"We will repeat the Shanghai manufacturing plant in India and will invest $25 million to set up a manufacturing facility and a campus in Bangalore for DVDs, set-top boxes and mobile DVDs," Pratap Kondamoori, Chairman, DVS, told PTI here. — PTI
