Fusion reactor project

India could participate as a "junior partner" in ITER (international fusion energy research), a $ 18.7-billion fusion reactor project, by making "some components", David Anthony King, Chief Scientific Adviser to the U.K. Government, has said. He told presspersons here on Wednesday that he was here to find out what the Indian Government thought of the idea. Mr. King is on a two-day "official visit" to the country to discuss issues related to climate change, among other things.
