Vijit Sehgal did well to make the main draw from the qualifying event, but lost 3-6, 0-6 in the second round to Chris Mayanto of Indnesia. The Indian girls Sandri Gangotri and Ashmitha Easwaramurthi, seeded third and sixth respectively, lost in the second round of singles, and were unable to win a round in doubles.
