India-New Zealand eves' Test from today

Vapi (Gujarat) Nov. 26. Having begun their 25-day tour of India with a comprehensive eight-wicket win against Board President's XI at Mumbai, the New Zealand women's cricket team will play its first Test against India at Bilakhiya Stadium, near here from tomorrow.

The four-day Test between the former World champion and the host would be telecast live on Doordarshan's Sports channel from 9.30 a.m.

While Mamata Maben will lead India, New Zealand would be led by Maia Lewis.

The teams:

India: Mamata Maben (Capt.), Mithali Raj, Anju Jain (wicketkeeper), Jaya Sharma, Hemlata Kala, Neetu David, Anjum Chopra, Deepa Kulkarni, Jhulan Goswami, Amita Sharma, Sunita Paranjpe, Diana David, Karuna Jain and Nusun-el-Khadar.

New Zealand: Maia Lewis (Capt.), Nicola Brown, Anna Corbin, Maria Fahey, Amanda Green, Michelle Lynch, Sara Mcglashan (wicketkeeper), Katey Martin, Aimee Mason, Louise Milliken, Kate Pulford, Natalee Scripps, Rebecca Steele and Naidee Tiffen.
