Chasing a victory target of 328 runs, Rajasthan was all out for 258, 50 minutes before tea to give Karnataka four points for an outright victory. Ganesh who had figures for six for 91 was supported by Venkatesh Prasad (2/48) and Sunil Joshi (2/67). Resuming at the overnight score of 53 for four, the host lost Anshu Jain after the batsman had added just four runs to his tally. But Rahul Kanwat (84) then joined Pankaj Gupta (58) to raise hopes of a fightback with a partnership of 132 runs for the sixth wicket. However, both the players fell in quick succession after lunch to hand the initiative back to the visitors. Anup Dave (17) and Sumit Mathur (26 not out) delayed the inevitable putting up 35 runs for the last wicket but in vain. Karnataka now has six points from three matches, while Rajasthan has four from an equal number of outings. Brief scores: Karnataka 145 & 350 bt Rajasthan 168 & 258 (Rahul Kanwat 84, Pankaj Gupta 58, Ganesh six for 91).
