New Delhi

Mr. Khaire said his party decided to go it alone in the Capital after the BJP refused to allot them at least two desired seats. "They were giving us two seats where the Muslim population was more than 70 per cent,'' he said. Mr. Khaire claimed his party would emerge as the third alternative to the Congress and the BJP in Delhi. "Our nominees are getting excellent response from the people of the area as they are fed up with both the parties,'' he said. Mr. Goel added: "Besides opening our account, we plan to garner at least 6 per cent of the total votes polled so that we get the status of a State party here.''
