Stamp scam: CBI to register case in Ghazipur

NEW DELHI NOV. 26. The CBI is likely to register one more case in the stamp paper scam at Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh.

CBI sources said the Ghazipur police had filed a case in the scam and once the First Information Report and other documents reached the agency, a case would be registered there.

This would be done on the request of the Finance Ministry, which has been asked by the Allahabad High Court to "see that the matter is probed in-depth by the CBI all over the countryafter obtaining a report from all the States so that those who are behind this racket shall be prosecuted''
