Heavy rain likely in T.N., Pondy

CHENNAI NOV. 28. Rainfall occurred at a few places over Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters are: Thiruthuraipoondi (Thiruvarur dt.) 5, Pondicherry Airport and Sirkali (Nagapattinam dt.) 4 each.

FORECAST (Valid until Sunday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry and at few places over Lakshadweep. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Kerala, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Coastal and North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over Coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry during the next 48 hours.
