Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
By Our Special Correspondent
This was stated by the Hyderabad Zone Chief General Manager, A. Srinvasa Rao, in a press note issued after a review meeting at which the Commercial Taxes Minister, K. Vijayarama Rao, reviewed the power supply situation regarding Hyderabad. Mr. Srinivasa Rao said some malfunctioning machines were registering wrong amounts giving an impression to consumers as if the increased burden was due to a tariff hike. He asked consumers to contact the Customer Service Centres in case of any wrong billing. At the meeting, it was stated that the Central, South and North Circles of the Hyderabad Zone achieved revenue of Rs. 92.78 crores during October, as against a demand for Rs. 91.61 crores, a 101.28 per cent increase.
