Numeric's focus on IT sector

CHENNAI NOV. 29. Numeric Power systems, a leading provider of power protection solutions for critical applications, has registered a consistent growth in performance. Addressing presspersons here, today, R. Chellappan, Managing Director of the company said, the growth was possible by targeting customers in the IT sector, bank, insurance and finance companies, education and research institutes and Government departments. Also the company received sizable number of orders from leading corporates and executed them successfully, he said.

Recently the company supplied 3,600 UPS systems to State Bank of India covering 2,400 branches, Mr. Chellappan said.

The company also executed auxiliary power systems project for Power Grid, a turnkey project involving design, supply, installation and commissioning of total power conditioning systems in the entire north eastern states. Currently Numeric was involved in a similar project for Power Grid in the entire western region, he said.

The company also established a new UPS plant in Sri Lanka and a sales support centre at Mauritius. The intention was to have more focus in the external growth in future, Mr. Chellappan said.
