Health Secretary cautions Govt. doctors

KHAMMAM Nov. 29. The Principal Secretary (Health, medical and family welfare), Sripad Bhale Rao, said on Saturday that he had cautioned Government doctors against associating themselves with private clinics. He was reviewing the functioning of the medical and health department in the district at a meeting with the officials concerned.

He enquired with the officials about the TB control measures in the district and wanted them to step up the campaign on medical facilities being extended to people.

He called for paying more attention to high risk groups as part of the AIDS control measures. He also enquired about the implementation of the family planning programme and the blood banks in the district.

He said the sanitation in the surroundings should also be taken care of while organizing medical camps.

He said that special attention should be paid to post-operative treatment. The district AIDS nodal officer, Saibabu, the district coordinator of health services, Madhusudhan, the district medical and health officer, Krishnabrahmam and Ramakrishna were among those who took part.
