The KPCC President, B. Janardhana Poojary, told The Hindu from Bidar that the three had been expelled for working against the party candidate, Basavaraj Patil Humnabad, Minister of State for Power. Party sources said Mr. Bheemanna Khandre and the two others were holding several of the voters in the election to the Legislative Council incommunicado in Maharashtra. However, the immediate reason for the action is that they failed to attend a meeting convened by Mr. Poojary today.
