Service, not murder

Sir, — This is with reference to P.V.L.N. Rao's article "Is euthanasia ethical?" (Nov. 25). For some terminally ill patients, dying is the "cure". Mercy killing cannot be termed murder. In fact, it is a "service" that can be provided to the clinically dead by their doctors.

K. Pradeep,

Chennai
