The 17-year-old Tushar, who had made it to the quarterfinals as a qualifier and lost to the eventual champion Aisam Ul-Haq Qureshi in the $10,000 ITF Futures tournament in Dehra Dun the previous week, was in fine nick as he beat the fourth-seeded Patrick Jozwik of Australia 6-1, 6-2 in the final. In the doubles' final, Tushar in partnership with Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, beat the top-seeded Weerapat Doakmaiklee of Thailand and Sunu Wahyu Trijati of Indonesia 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. It was his maiden ITF junior title for the 15-year-old Jeevan.
