According to the Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, B.K. Gupta, a special team of competent investigators has been formed to investigate the Swiss diplomat case. The Additional Commissioner of Police, Sudhir Yadav, would head the SIT. It would work under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, Deependra Pathak. Mr. Gupta said the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ravi Shankar, who has cracked several important cases, is also in the team, which comprises four inspectors and eight sub-inspectors chosen from across the Capital on the basis of their performance. Mr. Gupta said the South Delhi police put lot of effort into the case and gathered vital information which would be of great help to the SIT in the further probe.
