Sir, The dissolution of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly by Chandrababu Naidu raises questions of constitutional propriety. Under Article 174 (2), the Constitution does envisage premature dissolution of the Legislative Assembly but it is doubtful if the founding fathers anticipated the political games that would be played at the cost of the taxpayers.
