Nearly 60 p.c. voting in Jamalpur bypoll

AHMEDABAD Dec. 1. Nearly 55 to 60 per cent of the 1.40-lakh electorate cast their vote in the Jamalpur Assembly byelection in Gujarat held today.

The polling passed off peacefully under very tight security in the constituency in the heart of Ahmedabad city where the votes of the majority and the minority communities were almost equally divided.
