Two killed in factory blast

ADILABAD DEC. 2. Two workers hailing from Kerala were killed in an accident in a soyabean solvent plant on the outskirts of Adilabad town today.

According to the Adilabad DSP, P.Hanumantha Rao, three workers from Kerala — Vinod, Vinoo and Santosh — were working as welders in KK Agro industries,

While doing welding work on an oil tank there was a sudden explosion and they fell down from a height of 20 metres.

Vinod died on the spot and Vinoo died at the District Headquarters Hospital.

As the condition of Santosh turned critical, he was shifted to a hospital in Nagpur.

The Inspector of Factories, Satyanarayana, visited the scene of the accident.

The exact cause of the mishap is not known.

A case was registered in the Tamsi police station.

Vinod hailed from Kollam district while Vinoo belonged to Alapuzha. Santosh belonged to Palakkad district.
