`Take action against Gorimedu school teacher'

By Our Staff Reporter

Pondicherry Dec. 2. About 80 CPI (M) volunteers including women were arrested when they launched a road-roko on Anna Salai here today to urge the Administration to take action against the teacher of a higher secondary class in a government school at Gorimedu for alleged misbehaviour with some girl students in the school recently.

Among those arrested was the secretary of Pondicherry unit of the party, T. Murugan. Murugan who addressed the agitators said that failure to take disciplinary action against teachers was contributing to the recurrence of sexual harassment against the girls in the schools.
