Infopulse, a five-year old company with a staff strength of 100, located at Amsterdam, has been specialising in banking and financial services industry. Cognizant officials have stated that the cost of the acquisition was $5 million. The takeover would help Infopulse's current customers because they would get large-scale offshore capabilities as well as industry specific information technology services, which had for several years leveraged offshore development in Eastern Europe. In may be recalled that Cognizant had acquired three companies in the last 18 months.
