Railways back on track

Kanpur Dec. 2. Railways bowlers made amends for the batsmen's failure by skittling Uttar Pradesh out for a paltry 71 runs in the Elite Group `A' Ranji Trophy match here on Tuesday.

J.P. Yadav's medium pace proved too hot to handle for the home batsmen as U.P. struggled to put runs on the board with the Railways bowler returning with impressive figures of five for 27. Railways was dismissed for 137 in its first innings on Monday.

Brief scores: Railways 137 and 145 for six (J.P. Yadav 37) vs U.P. 71 (Jyoti Yadav 28, J.P. Yadav five for 27). — PTI
