While granting bail to Salim Sheikh, Sonia Gokani of the Special POTA Court observed that only one witness had so far taken his name as present among the crowd which torched the coach of the Sabarmati Express on February 27 last year. Police had not been able to find any incriminating evidence against Sheikh and even his identity as stated by the witness was doubtful. Salim was among the first few to be arrested in connection with the train carnage and was held under POTA for the last one and half years.
