Workshop on coastal management

CHENNAI DEC. 2. A workshop on integrated coastal zone management will be held for senior government officials, research scholars, university employees and non-governmental organisations from December 3 to 7.

It is being organised by the Institute for Ocean Management and the Integrated Centre for Environmental Sciences, Anna University here, and coordinated by the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests, a press release said today. Resource persons from the United Kingdom would participate. The workshop would take the Chennai coast as a case study for coastal management issues and problems and include a field visit to the North Chennai coast or the Pulicat Lake.
