Inspector to face inquiry

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE DEC. 2. The Commissioner of Police, S. Mariswamy, on Tuesday ordered an inquiry against the Kalasipalya Police Inspector, Siddaramaiah, who is facing a charge of demanding bribe from a lorry owner. G. Basappa of NGEF Layout has lodged a complaint with Mr. Mariswamy that Mr. Siddaramaiah was demanding Rs. 10,000 to release his lorry, which was seized by the Kalasipalya police, despite the 9th ACMM Court ordering for the release of the vehicle. Following a complaint by Mr. Basappa, the Commissioner has asked the Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), M. Nanjundaswamy, to conduct an inquiry into the issue.
