According to the complaint lodged by an employee of the office with the Sanjaynagar police, the theft was noticed when the office was opened on Monday. Purse stolen: A purse containing cash of a devotee who had come to take darshan of Kanchi Sankaracharya, Jayendra Saraswati, was stolen on Sunday. According to complainant, Capt. B.Bhupathi, he joined the rush of .devotees seeking the blessings of the Kanchi Acharya. After the darshan, he found that his purse containing Rs. 3,000, and an identity card had been stolen. The Shankarapura police have registered a case. Businessman's house burgled: The house of K.T. Mohammed, a businessman, was burgled in Benson Town in the early ours of Monday. According to the complaint, the burglars entered the house through a room on the second floor. They took away several articles from the house.
