Special court to be set up

BANGALORE DEC. 4. The Karnataka Government on Thursday, in compliance with the directive of the Supreme Court, agreed to set up a special court in the State to try the two disproportionate assets cases against the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, and others.

Addressing presspersons after a Council of Ministers' meeting here, the Environment, Ecology and Information Minister, Allum Veerabhadrappa, said the details related to place for the setting up of the special court, facilities at the court, appointment of public prosecutor and commencement of the trial will be decided later after consultation with the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, N.K. Jain, by the Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, D.B. Chandre Gowda.
